Review: Concrete Minerals Pro Matte Eye Shadows

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you a review on a makeup brand that I was introduced to a couple of months back. Concrete Minerals Cosmetics is a mineral makeup brand that was founded in 2009. They specialize in mineral makeup*, mostly eye shadows, that do not contain parabens, fragrances and other fillers. Recently they introduced a complete collection of pro matte shadows. Shadows that are intensely pigmented and incredibly matte. The pro matte shadows consist of 13 eye shadows that cover the entire rainbow.

Packaging:
All Concrete Minerals orders come with two complementary samples, of decent size I may add, and and a business card.

Each shadows come in a jar containing 2.5 grams of products these will cost you $8. These jars are quite a decent size, about the size of a quarter in length. They come with a sticker on the top with the CM logo and a sticker on the bottom with the shadow name and ingredients. I like the size of the packaging of these shadows, it is a great amount of product for how much you pay, but there is a con. These jars seem really frail to me. Although they are made out of plastic, the lid does not feel sturdy or very durable to me. The logo sticker on the stop also feels like it would come off with any daily wear and tear.

Overall:
Concrete Minerals completely blew me away with these shadows!! Finding matte pigments that work perfectly was nearly impossible until these came along! Thhe pigmentation to every single one of these shadows was just extra ordinary. I will say though, they are a very fine pigment and can be very messy to work with even when wet. I would suggest not doing any face makeup before working with these shadows. Also, depending on the base, or lack there of, some of these shades will stain the skin. Make sure to use a base for minimal staining and use an oil based make up remover to get rid of any staining. For $8 a piece I wasnt expecting much, but holy cow. These shadows are definitely worth more than that. Whether you are into dark colors or brights Concrete Minerals has colors to suit all of your palettes.
