Review: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Shame

Hello Dolls!
Today I bring you a review on one of the new Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks! I picked one up last week at my local Sephora after waiting for them to be stocked.

Urban Decay release 22 brand new shades of lipstick to their already vast cosmetics line last month.
Ranging from the simplest nude to the most beautiful dark plums. They're all marketed to be highly pigmented with a hint of "creamy shiny", long lasting and lip nourishing.

Packaging:
The lipsticks all come in a purple box with the Urban Decay logo and product name in silver, which tends to be UD signature packaging. On the box the lipstick shade name is written on a sticker that is the same color as the lipstick.

The lipstick packaging itself is just beautiful!!
The bullet is a amazing rose gold color with "Urban Decay" inscribed into the side and "UD" inscribed on the lid. The shade color is placed on a sticker at the bottom. The inside case that holds the lipsticks is a nice metallic maroon/purple shade that's a nice contrast to the elegant rose gold exterior.

The packaging itself seems to be quite durable and heavy duty. UD did not skimp on the packaging for these lipsticks!

Product:
The shade I decided to pick up was Shame. The second darkest color in the collection.

Shame looks like a darkened plum in the packaging but once swatched it comes out as a reddened plum. When i first saw it it reminded me of blood that had dried up. (Gross description , i know, but that's what sold me about it!)
Shame has a beautiful color pay off. It's extremely creamy in texture and incredibly moisturizing. It does come off with quite a shine but it can be matted down by using some translucent powder! Even with its incredibly creamy texture it is quite long lasting. It lasted me a little over 6 hours, even after eating, and I didn't use a primer or lip pencil! After removing it it does leave behind a stain, which can be both a good and a bad thing. If you don't want a stain left behind then I suggest using a lip liner before using the lipstick.
In the store it looked like a perfect dupe for MACs Rebel lipstick, but the red undertones make it a completely different shade.

Overall:
Even though I am not a fan of creamy lipsticks this one is quite an exception. With the repetoir  Urban Decay has it had a lot to live up to when creating these lipsticks and man they outdid themselves! The lipstick was so nourishing and long lasting its definitely something you wouldn't expect from something so creamy in texture.  And i mean, look at that packaging! how beautiful is that! Im a sucker for beautiful packaging and this one lured me in like a moth to a flame! From the collection of 22 you have such a vast shade range to choose from, and I suggest you look into these if you're in the look out for something beautifully long lasting.
