FOTD: Bruised Unicorn

Hello Dolls! I totally got set back on this months Glamour Doll Eyes Insider Program look. But somehow I managed to finish my final look a day before the dead line!
I originally planned on doing a nice blown out light purple look, but as you can see it took a completely different turn! It was one of those things where you can see where I was heading, yet you saw where everything went wrong.
I ended up making my eyes looked bruised and sickly, with a little touch of lime green in the center. But oddly enough I fell in love with the outcome.

Review: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Shame

Hello Dolls!
Today I bring you a review on one of the new Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks! I picked one up last week at my local Sephora after waiting for them to be stocked.

Urban Decay release 22 brand new shades of lipstick to their already vast cosmetics line last month.
Ranging from the simplest nude to the most beautiful dark plums. They're all marketed to be highly pigmented with a hint of "creamy shiny", long lasting and lip nourishing.

Packaging:
The lipsticks all come in a purple box with the Urban Decay logo and product name in silver, which tends to be UD signature packaging. On the box the lipstick shade name is written on a sticker that is the same color as the lipstick.

The lipstick packaging itself is just beautiful!!
The bullet is a amazing rose gold color with "Urban Decay" inscribed into the side and "UD" inscribed on the lid. The shade color is placed on a sticker at the bottom. The inside case that holds the lipsticks is a nice metallic maroon/purple shade that's a nice contrast to the elegant rose gold exterior.

The packaging itself seems to be quite durable and heavy duty. UD did not skimp on the packaging for these lipsticks!

FOTD: Sweet Damson

Hello Dolls! I can not believe it has been a month since I last posted on here! Work has been kicking my ass and I finally have a decent break for the next four days!! I haven't done anything but winged liner and mascara for the past month so I really wanted to have something dramatic going on! You guys have no idea how good it feels to have all of this makeup on for the first time in a month!

I kept it really warm and smoky using all MAC shadows and one of the new pressed pigments. I broke open my new Urban Decay Lipstick for this look as well! I just went all out with boldness in my eyes and lips!

It's gonna take a bit to get used to writing posts again so, I'm sorry for the rambling, and I hope you enjoy the look!

FOTD: Pink Lemonade

Hey Dolls! Today I wanted to bring you a look using some colors that I wouldn't normally wear. And pink and yellow are my definite top least worn colors. I was weary about the yellow in the lash line making me look sickly, but I really was pleasantly surprised of how it came out. For a bit of bang I added some pink glitter into the inner corner of the eyes.  This is my third look for the Glamour Doll Eyes Insider program for this month, so all of the colors used even the glitter are from GDE!
This look is a different direction for me to take but I really liked it, and hope you guys do as well!

FOTD: Grease Lightning

Hello Dolls! Finally, I get around to posting this look I did last Friday. I was heading out to my nieces makeup for her formal and decided to go a little more natural. So I came up with this neutral look with a hint of green. This is my second look for the Glamour Doll Eyes program. Which, thanks to work I am lagging on this month. -_- But, anyways, I hope you enjoy today's look, well last weeks look!

Review and Swatches: Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you a review requested by Tori of Biohazardous Beauty! Today's review will be of Lime Crimes Opaque Lipsticks! Lime Crime has become know in the blogger and YouTube community as one of the best places to go to when you're in need of odd colored lipsticks! In this review I will be reviewing three specific shades; Poisonberry, Airborne Unicorn and Mint To Be!

Lime Crime lipsticks are usually sold on the Lime Crime website, but I bought mine through Beauty Joint. I bought mine there simply because on that site there where other products that I was in "need" of. On both sites they are priced at $15.99. Each lipstick comes with 3.5 g / 0.12 oz of products and as far as I'm concerned they are all Vegan.

Review and Swatches: BH Cosmetics 28 Color Palette Smoky Edition

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you a review on the 28 Color Smoky Edition palette I recently received in the mail from BH Cosmetics. I did receive this palette for free but only because it came free with a purchase over $25. I had been curious about this palette since I first saw it, and was glad I managed to get it for free with my last purchase from BH Cosmetics. I  have played around with this palette a lot since I got it late last week.  My last FOTD featured a shade from this same palette.

*DISCLAIMER: This is a very picture heavy post*
 Packaging:
The 28 Colour Palette Smoky Edition one of the many palettes BH offers in their vast array of cosmetics. The palette comes packaged in BH's new packaging design for smaller palettes witch basically means that it is a plastic case, with a see through lid. The lid comes stamped with the BH Cosmetics logo as well as the name of the palette. The back casing of the palette is a black, glossy plastic material stamped with the ingredients, name of the palette as well as instructions as to how to apply the eye shadows.Overall it is nice, and sleek packaging but as handy as the see through lid is, it really doesn't make up for the fact that the palette, overall feels flimsy and as if it would break within the first drop.

Product:
The smoky palette consist of 28 eyeshadows ranging from reds, pink, purples, blues, blacks and greys. It currently is priced at $10, but the pricing tends to change a lot for BH. At $10 for 28 shadows it does seem like a steal, and too good to be true. And sadly, it is. This palette is mostly presented by BH Cosmetics as an all in one go  to palette to create any desired smoky eye. But, honestly, this palette is not your friend if you where interested in brown,  green, reds,  or basically  any other color besides what is presented in the palette.

Swatches:

-sating moss green with gold shimmer (4)
-light matte grey based light blue (5)
-matte grey based lavender (6)
-true royal purple (5...yes 5 layers and it still came out like that -_-)

Column #5

Overall:
Simply put, I'm glad I got this palette for free. So many of these eyeshadows looked so vibrant in the palette, but failed to live up to expectations when put into use.  For $10 it is a true "too good to be true" palette. Where few of the shadows where great, the majority really failed to deliver. Having to layer a shadows that many times to come to such an underwhelming conclusion is a pain. Yes, there are maybe five shades that I really enjoyed in this palette. So much so that I even considered depotting the few good ones and placing them into a Zpallete. This palette also fails to amaze when it comes to packaging. I see where BH Cosmetics was going with it's new packaging, but it just missed the mark. I know that in order to keep the palette so cheap you cant make it so heavy duty, but not this flimsy. I will say though, that this is a good beginner palette. If you're just starting out with makeup this is a good place to begin practicing, but I would honeslty recommend going for the 120 or 88 palettes. They seem to provide more consistantly good eyeshadows and you literally get 4 to 6 times the eyeshadows at just $17-$25.  I'm still going to try and work with this palette, but I wouldn't suggest spending $10 on this palette or whatever they're charging for this at the time you're reading this. I can sense already that this is going to be one of my least used palettes. I hate to give negative negative reviews to a product, but I'm just giving my honest opinion in hopes that it'll help someone in need of advice.

FOTD: Monochromatic Berry

Hello Dolls! For the past couple of days I've been noticing a trend on Instagram. A lot of girls have been posting looks using only one eyeshadow. I recently received the BH Cosmetics Smoky Eye palette and fell in love with a dark berry shade that was in there. So, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and create a look using this one shade.  I know it can be a somewhat of a scary concept to stick to only one shadow for an entire look (flashback to horrid middle school makeup days), but you'd be surprised what a little, well a lot of blending can do.
I also decided to make this into a monochrome look by sticking to this one berry colour palette for the entire look, even using the same eyeshadows for my eyes as well as a blush!

FOTD: Mod Eyes Inspired my MSTRUEHAPPINESS

Hello Dolls! I confess, that I am an instagram addict. Yesterday I was roaming around instagram looking at makeup looks from random users when I came across a beautiful baby blue cut crease done by the fantastic MSTRUEHAPPINESS! I fell in love with it instantly and knew I had to recreate it on myself!
She only used to shadows to come up with her look, but since I only owned the blue shade I ended up using around five shades! She also did more of a winged out shape, but I kept mine a bit more circular to fit my eye shape a bit better!

FOTD: Makin' A Scene

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you my fourth and final look for this months Glamour Doll Eye insider program.
I wanted to do something fancy and smokey using two of my favorite colors from this months insider package. I made, what I call a sandwich look, which means using  one color on the inside and outer corners and one specific one in the middle of the eye. I really like how this came out, and I'm sad I don't have a party or something to rock this at today!

FOTD: Black Peacock

Hello Dolls! It feels like I havent posted a look or post in such a long time. I'm getting over the affects of laryngitis after a week of being sick. Finally I feel decent enough to do a look for Glamour Doll Eyes! I decided to show you how versatile GDE shadows can be by creating two different looks simply changing one thing!
I created a black smokey peacock inspired look, then by using the black shadow and making it into an eyeliner using a mixing medium I changed it into a bright look focusing all the color on the lower lash line!!
I hope you guys enjoy both looks!

Review: Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you a review on a very hyped about item. Embryolisse's Lait-Creme Concetre (24 Hour Miracle Cream). Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concetre is a rich moisturizing lotion. This product has been raved by make-up artists and celebrities alike. It is claimed to be a versatile lotion that is basically  three products in one: a primer, moisturizer, and make-up remover. I generally have trouble finding a good moisturizer and was keen on trying this. But I wasn't to keen on paying the price, but I caved because I needed to know if this was the real deal!

Packaging:
I received this product in a generic box with the Embryolisse Logo and general instructions as to how to apply the product. The tube is somewhat like a toothpaste tube and feels somewhat like a light metal, maybe aluminum but I am not positive. When first opened you have to prick it with the opposite side of the lid to make a hole in the seal. I really loved that it came with a seal so you know that your product hasn't been contaminated in any way. All instructions on the tube itself are in French, considering it is a French product there can't be a complaint there.

FOTD: Acid Eyes (featuring Sugarpill Cosmetics)

After receiving my Sugarpill products in the mail late in the afternoon two days ago, I was a bit bummed that I had no reason to do my makeup. The next morning as I was getting ready for school, I knew it was time! I reached for my Heart Breaker palette. I wanted to do something a bit more simple, because it was my first time playing with the palette and I also had two classes that day. I didn't want to go to school with not only crazy makeup, but with makeup that I didn't know 100% how it would look on me. I used 3 of the 4 colors in the palette, and love how it looked. I got so many compliments on this look too!! Next time I use this palette I sure as hell will be more adventurous with the look.

Beautylish Boutique; Sugarpill First Impressions

After months of teasing it's lovely users Beautylish has finally opened it's Boutique!!
Beautylish announced a little earlier this year that they were planning on opening a boutique for its users, after waiting months I finally got my invitation to shop! As announced every month they will partner up with a new make up brand to give it's user access to the brands top products as well as special deals and offers. Beautylish decided to open it's doors with a bang. Sugarpill!! One of the most talked about brands, one of my favorite brands! Beautylish offered all of Sugarpills cult favorites like their palettes, and loose pigments. But they also offered exclusive eyelashes, and the very much sought after limited eyeshadow @#$%! (that's not a typo, thats the name!!) After a couple of weeks I finally gathered up enough money and allowed myself to buy myself a "little" early birthday present.

*for more indepth information on Beautylish's bouttique and Sagarpill, like shipping time, pro's and cons, packaging reviews and such please take a look at the video provided below!*

Package and Contents

My purchase arrived quite quickly, but the box that it arrived in was a little scuffed. It arrived in a white box with OBSESSED written on it in big bold letters. Why obsessed? I have no idea.
