FOTD: Dirty Mistress

It seems as though fall weather has hit Connecticut a bit early this year. Even though it's been a lot cooler the leaves have yet to turn color. That's exactly what inspired this look today!! I created the tiniest bit of a cut crease effect, and just used the most fall like red that I could find!! So, I hope you guys enjoy this look!

FOTD: Bruised Unicorn

Hello Dolls! I totally got set back on this months Glamour Doll Eyes Insider Program look. But somehow I managed to finish my final look a day before the dead line!
I originally planned on doing a nice blown out light purple look, but as you can see it took a completely different turn! It was one of those things where you can see where I was heading, yet you saw where everything went wrong.
I ended up making my eyes looked bruised and sickly, with a little touch of lime green in the center. But oddly enough I fell in love with the outcome.

FOTD: Ravishing Taylor (Featuring Glamour Doll Eyes)

Hello Dolls! Last months craziness ended up not only  putting me behind schedule but also Vanessa, the owner and creator of Glamour Doll Eyes. Her schedule ended up so crazy and chaotic that she put the Insider Program on hold and gave us a month long break from creating looks. It was a nice break last month since everything was so hectic, for what appears to have been a lot of people,  but once I received this months package I was so ready to dive right in and create new looks using all Glamour Doll Eyes pigments!

I ended up doing a look with what have been my go to colors lately, red and burnt orange. Only this time I ended up glitzing and smoking it up with a metallic red all over the eyelid and some black pigment!!

FOTD: Hay Foxxie

Hello Dolls!! What two looks in a row in less than a week?! Whhaaat?!
It's been a while since I got to play with makeup as much as I have been these past couple of days! About four days ago I received Glamour Doll Eyes new Instagram collection in the mail and fell in love with the colors!
I decided to go with a different color combination than I normally would use. I used burnt orange, and burgundy colors in the crease and lower lash line and a bright cyan blue all over the eyelid!

FOTD: Fall Awakening

Hello Dolls!!
Today I bring you a look I did yesterday. I wanted to do something a bit more vampy, and fall inspired. Since I'm a Texan living in Connecticut the weather here has resembled fall more than summer. I mean, it's like constantly 70 degrees here and I'm used to triple digit weather this time of the year. It may be summer here I'm feeling the vampy looks! I hope y'all enjoy this months last look for Glamour Doll Eyes Insider Program!

Shadows Used: Vampire Wedding, Super Nova, Light Speed, Ancestry, Chivalrous, Presumptuous

Lip Combo: OCC Lip Tars in Clear, NFSW, Sybil

FOTD: Pink Lemonade

Hey Dolls! Today I wanted to bring you a look using some colors that I wouldn't normally wear. And pink and yellow are my definite top least worn colors. I was weary about the yellow in the lash line making me look sickly, but I really was pleasantly surprised of how it came out. For a bit of bang I added some pink glitter into the inner corner of the eyes.  This is my third look for the Glamour Doll Eyes Insider program for this month, so all of the colors used even the glitter are from GDE!
This look is a different direction for me to take but I really liked it, and hope you guys do as well!

Todays Shadows:
Chocoholic, Obscure, Ancestry, Light Speed, Cajun and Ditzy

FOTD: Grease Lightning

Hello Dolls! Finally, I get around to posting this look I did last Friday. I was heading out to my nieces makeup for her formal and decided to go a little more natural. So I came up with this neutral look with a hint of green. This is my second look for the Glamour Doll Eyes program. Which, thanks to work I am lagging on this month. -_- But, anyways, I hope you enjoy today's look, well last weeks look!

FOTD: Makin' A Scene

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you my fourth and final look for this months Glamour Doll Eye insider program.
I wanted to do something fancy and smokey using two of my favorite colors from this months insider package. I made, what I call a sandwich look, which means using  one color on the inside and outer corners and one specific one in the middle of the eye. I really like how this came out, and I'm sad I don't have a party or something to rock this at today!

FOTD: Black Peacock

Hello Dolls! It feels like I havent posted a look or post in such a long time. I'm getting over the affects of laryngitis after a week of being sick. Finally I feel decent enough to do a look for Glamour Doll Eyes! I decided to show you how versatile GDE shadows can be by creating two different looks simply changing one thing!
I created a black smokey peacock inspired look, then by using the black shadow and making it into an eyeliner using a mixing medium I changed it into a bright look focusing all the color on the lower lash line!!
I hope you guys enjoy both looks!

FOTD: Born of Illusion

Hello Dolls! Today I have a look for you featuring all three of the shadows in the new Glamour Doll Eyes "Born of Illusion" collection. I created a sultry smoky eye using all three colors and three MAC eyeshadows as well. I'm loving this collection so far. Teri Brown, the author of "Born of Illusion" was also kind enough to send me a copy of the book before it is released in June and I must say it's so good. The story is so intriguing and has me hooked.
This look is somewhat based on the book. I created this sultry smoky eye based on the book and the darkness and mystery around the entire story as well as the main character.

REVIEW AND SWATCHES: Glamour Doll Eyes Born of Illusion Collection (COMING SOON!!)

Hello Dolls! Today I have a very special review and batch of swatches! An unreleased, coming soon collection from Glamour Doll Eyes!!
Glamour Doll Eyes partnered up with Terri Brown to create a brand new collection for Teri's new book "Born of Illusion".

The new collection will be released to the public on May 15th. It consists of 3 pigment shadows. Since it is past of a  collaboration collection it is only available as a full set and once available the collection will cost $15. Which is cheaper than buying them separately. Normally full sized shadows go for $6 each making 3 shadows $18, so you save $3 in total.

 Packaging:
The shadows come in a cute little see through baggy embellished with silver stars. The packaging for the shadows themselves is quite normal. They're packaged like normal GDE shadows. They have two stickers. One on the lid with the GDE logo, and one on the bottom with the shadows name, ingredients, and whether or not its lip safe and vegan!

 Shadows!

This collection consist of three full sized eyeshadow pigments.
All named after something to do with the book. The three shadows are Illusion, Deception and Levitation.

Illusion- pearlescent white with a light pink duochrome.
Deception- dark, almost black grey with multi colored shimmers
Levitation- dark royal blue

Deception is actually extremely similar to the permanent GDE shadow in Incognito.

Swatches:

Overall:
When first contacted about this collection I really did not know what to expect. But the colors completely match what "Born of Illusion" is about. All shadows are shimmery and non matte, so they do swatch and apply incredibly well! They're amazingly pigmented and super easy to blend! Levitation is unlike any other shadow that I own and is my favorite of the three!
I would definitely check out this collection the moment it is released because the shadows are amazing for such a cheap price!

Check out the Glamour Doll Eyes website for this collection and for other great shadows!
Check out Teri Brown for more information on the new book "Born of Illusion" and her past books as well!

*disclosure: I purchased these shadows with my own money and where not provided by Glamour Doll Eyes for reviewing purposes*

FOTD: Spring Pastels

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you my third look featuring Glamour Doll Eyes this month! I decided to go on a more pastel route. Something I dont necessarily rock! I decided to go with green and purple, colors that would go well with my eye color. I really liked how this turned out and I hope you guys do too!!

FOTD: Summer Awakening

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you a bright colorful smokey eye! This is my second look featuring all Glamour Doll Eyes. I used all 6 of this months shadows plus the otm shadow. I really liked this look. I kept it bright on top and on the lower lash line I only used enough pigment for it to make an appearance when the light hit it in the right angle.

Glamour Doll Eyes April 2013 OTM

Hello Dolls! This month I received my prize from GDE Egg Hunt. I received three free months of OTM. OTM are limited edition shadows from GDE. Only about 100 go out on a first come first serve basis. Every month the color is inspired by something different. This months color named "Fellas Love Yella" was inspired simply from the desire to come up with the perfect gold!

Packaging:
This month the shadows and extra content arrived in this cute gold baroque baggie. Quite appropriate for the shadow inside.

Inside the package there was the shadow, some candy (which will probably go to my boyfriend) and four business cards. Two of GDE, one telling of the OTM shadow and one for Sedona Lace.

FOTD: Calypso!!

Hello Dolls! Today I bring you a look that I actually did about two days ago. I was going to post it until my computer went down. This is my first look using all Glamour Doll Eyes for April.
I was really attracted to the color Calypso that I received this month. A dark teal with a lot of gold shimmer! This is a very simple look. Just four colors of the same color family and a cat eye!

Review: Glamour Doll Eyes Easter 2013 Eyeshadows

Hello Dolls! Last Thursday Glamour Doll Eyes released Limited Edition Easter inspired eyeshadows. Four of which you knew what the colors where and two mystery shadows. The mystery shadows where part of an "Easter egg hunt" GDE had. Random shadows where winners and had a number in the bottom and those won a certain thing. I ordered one of the shadows that I knew what it looked like and I ordered both mystery shadows
-Since the the shadows are limited edition they are of limited quantities. The mystery shadows are sold out but Cake Walk is still on sale with a 15% off discount-
(One of my mystery shadows actually came out a winner, so I decided to censor the number to prevent people from trying to use the picture as their own.)

Packaging:
Each shadow is a full sized jar which are only $6.
Unlike other LE shadows these are packaged the same as regular GDE shadows. Underneath there are stickers labeling them as Easter 2013 shadows as well as the name, ingredients ,and whether or not they're lip safe or vegan.

SHADOWS:
*all shadows swatched dry *

From left to right:
Cake Walk, Hippity Hop, Sugar High

Cake Walk:
This is the only shadow that I actually knew what it looked like before ordering.
Cake Walk is a pastel semi matte lilac. It contain light silver/lilac shimmer.

Hippity Hop:
This is one of two mystery shadows.
Hippity Hop is a beautiful matte seafoam/mint green. This color was hard to swatch as it
did come out a bit chalky and patchy.

Sugar High:
This is the second mystery shadow:
Sugar High is an extremely shimmery lilac bright pink. It contain a heavy dose of  silver shimmer making it quite a unique color. This color is incredibly pigmented.
Overall:
Both of the shimmery colors are incredibly pigmented! They where really easy to swatch and true to color. Hippity Hop on the other hand was a bit chalky and I had to build it up to get the true color of the pigment.
Like always I wasn't disappointed by these shadows. Glamour Doll Eyes always does a great job with their Limited Edition shadows and this is no exception!

To check out Cake Walk and the other four Easter Shadows that are still available check out the Glamour Doll Eyes website.
Remember the Easter shadows are currently 15% off!!
