FOTD: New To Town

Hello Dolls! For the first time in what seems like a month I decided to do my makeup all out. It's my first full day in Connecticut and since I'm going out with some friends tonight I decided to do something a little dark so I ended up with a "sandwich" smokey eye meaning one color on the inner and outer lid and another in the centre.  I used all Glamour Doll Eyes for this eye look.

Review: Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12 Hour Lipstick in Playfull

Hey Dolls! A couple of days ago I was out with my best friend and we stopped at a local Ulta. I wasn't planning on purchasing anything but Tarte sucked me in. For a while I've been lusting for a Tarte lipstick since I've heard how amazing they are.

At $26 for .07 oz of product this is a huge investment. I decided to take the plunge and bought one that I knew I'd wear often since at almost thirty dollars I wasn't going to dare buy something I would never wear.

Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a small pink box with a pattern that resembles the package of the actual lipstick. The packaging for the actual lipstick is beautiful. It is a strong bamboo with an almost tribal design in the same color of the actual lipstick. This is a plus since it allows you to see which lip color is which. The only downside to this packaging is that the tube is rather long and makes it seem like you get more product than you actually do.

FOTD: Vegas Glitter

Hey dolls! Long time no see. I've been a bit MIA this past week, I know. I've been getting ready for a big move, and life is just catching up to me. I finally had time to do something with my face today, and decided to go all out. I received my first order of Lit Cosmetics Glitter in the mail yesterday and thought I'd take it out for a test run today. I did this look today, inspired by the dying leaves on the trees. Suprisingly that's happening in Texas, you know because it's the first day of December and it's still 72 degrees Fahrenheit. -_-

Sleek Haul and Tell

Hello Dolls!
For almost a year now I have been trying to get my hands on some Sleek makeup. Sleek is a British cosmetics line that carries eyeshadow palettes, blushes, lip paints, etc. etc. I was actually introduced to this brand by the Pixiwoo sisters on YouTube.  I have found it difficult to get my hands on their products without resorting to Ebay, and a couple of weeks ago I found out that they finally launched international shipping to their site! There are palettes on their site that are not available for US and Canada shoppers due to FDA regulations. (Honestly, if they're good for their eyes why not ours? Anyways..)
These are the Acid, Ultra Matte V1, Ultra Matte V2, Glory and Snapshot palettes. (Of course, the palettes I wanted.
You may think that shipping was an arm and a leg but I only paid around $5 for shipping and my purchase came out to less than $50 all together!
I will be linking the Sleek site down below, and I hope you guys enjoy!!

Sunset Palette
The Sunset Palette is a very tropical colored palette. At $10 you get 12 amazingly pigmented eyeshadows at 1.1 of product each.  It comes in Sleeks popular black, sleek (hehe) packaging.  All twelve shadows, except the matte black that comes in every Sleek palette, are very shimmery and slightly frosted. They are all incredibly velvety soft, and incredibly pigmented even the lightest of colors. These colors are very blendable, and easy to work with. The only downfall in this palette is that there is not enough variation between matte and shimmery colors.

Review: UD Smoked 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set

Last week I headed up to my local Ulta in search of more makeup I could use for my upcoming Halloween looks. The moment I walked into the store I was flashed in the face with Urban Decays new products for the holiday season. Like every one I was aware of the new palettes and foundations, but I was not aware that they where releasing a pack of eyeliners that matched their recently released Smoked Palette. I reviewed this palette two weeks ago, and since I loved it so much I had to have these liners!!

For $38 you will receive 6 eyeliners. You end up paying a little over $6 per liner! They are not full sized liners, but a decent size non the less.
The packaging isnt that great, but when it comes to buying eye liners the package it comes in doesn't really matter to me because I put all my eyeliners in a small container.
I will say prying the eyeliners out of the wedges they're in can be a bit of a hassle. Mine where so tightly in there that I had to get a small pin and pry them out.

Queen Of Blending Inspired

While I was cleaning my dresser and watching Queen Of Blending on youtube I got inspired by her amazing skills and decided to play. I decided to take inspiration from her Orange, Red, and Purple Cut Crease look. I am so below her level of expertise, especially on lashes and cut creases, but I really wanted to try. I even went for the huge lashes!!! I need extra practice on lashes before Halloween, so this was a great opportunity.
~~~~~~
I know with some more practice this could come out better, and I hope to do this look again in the future, but for now I hope you guys enjoy my attempt to recreate QOB's look.
FOTD: Acid Eyes (featuring Sugarpill Cosmetics)
After receiving my Sugarpill products in the mail late in the afternoon two days ago, I was a bit bummed that I had no reason to do my makeup. The next morning as I was getting ready for school, I knew it was time! I reached for my Heart Breaker palette. I wanted to do something a bit more simple, because it was my first time playing with the palette and I also had two classes that day. I didn't want to go to school with not only crazy makeup, but with makeup that I didn't know 100% how it would look on me. I used 3 of the 4 colors in the palette, and love how it looked. I got so many compliments on this look too!! Next time I use this palette I sure as hell will be more adventurous with the look.
Beautylish Boutique; Sugarpill First Impressions
 After months of teasing it's lovely users Beautylish has finally opened it's Boutique!!
Beautylish announced a little earlier this year that they were planning on opening a boutique for its users, after waiting months I finally got my invitation to shop! As announced every month they will partner up with a new make up brand to give it's user access to the brands top products as well as special deals and offers. Beautylish decided to open it's doors with a bang. Sugarpill!! One of the most talked about brands, one of my favorite brands! Beautylish offered all of Sugarpills cult favorites like their palettes, and loose pigments. But they also offered exclusive eyelashes, and the very much sought after limited eyeshadow @#$%! (that's not a typo, thats the name!!) After a couple of weeks I finally gathered up enough money and allowed myself to buy myself a "little" early birthday present.
*for more indepth information on Beautylish's bouttique and Sagarpill, like shipping time, pro's and cons, packaging reviews and such please take a look at the video provided below!*
Package and Contents
My purchase arrived quite quickly, but the box that it arrived in was a little scuffed. It arrived in a white box with OBSESSED written on it in big bold letters. Why obsessed? I have no idea.
Spoiled Brat (All Drugstore Look)
I apologize for the absence for the past month or so. I was without a computer for the majority of the summer due to vacations and my computer just flat out dying on me. Don't worry though, I'm back and will be posting as much as I possibly can.
I did this look in June for a friends graduation party. I wanted something more bright, playful, and smokey. I had Wet N' Wilds Spoiled Brat palette just sitting on my counter and decided to finally start playing with it.
Mint Jubilee
I was so excited to try and see how well my new Elf cool color palette would come out. It has so many bright fun colors to use and I just couldn't wait to use it. It has been so long since Ive actually played with color. School took up so much of my time that by the end of the year I was wearing little to no make up everyday. But now it's the last summer before I start college so it's time to have some fun!!
I was really excited when I found out the new ELF palette has great mint color. So with the hint of green I got from the mint color I decided to go for a full on light pastel green eye. And this is what we came up with.
Skyrim Inspired Make Up
A couple of months ago a friend of my mothers introduced me to Skyrim. I had heard of the game before but never really sat down to play. He started a game for me and while creating my character I noticed the amazing war paint they had in the game. You could choose from a few designs and hundreds of modifications for your character.
I got inspired and wanted to try to recreate one of the designs and this is what I came up with. It's not 100% accurate, but the picture served as inspiration.
Pastel Gradient Nails
So after a month hiatus of refusing to do my nails I finally decided to do this method of gradient nails. They came out.......ok.
What you'll need:
Base Coat I used Orly's Bonder
and a top coat to seal the finished product, I used Orly's In A Snap, my all time favorite top coat.
